Shelf Life & Storage Guidance

Our Self-Adhesive Kraft Tape has a standard shelf life of 12 months when stored correctly. To ensure the best adhesive performance, please follow these guidelines:

  • Temperature: Store in a cool, dry place between 15°C - 25°C. Avoid exposure to extreme heat, which can affect the adhesive quality.
  • Environment: Keep away from direct sunlight and high humidity to prevent the paper from warping or the adhesive from degrading.
  • Original Packaging: For bulk orders, we recommend keeping the rolls in their original packaging until ready for use to avoid dust accumulation on the edges.

Custom printed kraft paper tape is most commonly used for e-commerce mailer boxes and standard shipping cartons in the US and European markets.

Typical box sizes include:

Mailer / Flight Boxes

  • 9 × 6 × 3 in (23 × 15 × 8 cm)
  • 10 × 8 × 4 in (25 × 20 × 10 cm)

Standard Corrugated Cartons (RSC)

How many boxes can one roll seal?

Each roll is 50 meters (164 ft) long.

For mailer boxes (single center seal):

  • Average usage: 60–70 cm per box
  • One roll seals approximately 70–80 boxes
  • 25 rolls usually cover 1,800–2,000 shipments
  • 50 rolls cover around 3,600–4,000 shipments
  • 100 rolls cover up to 7,500+ shipments

For standard cartons (H-seal):

  • Average usage: about 180 cm per box
  • One roll seals approximately 25–30 cartons
  • 25 rolls usually cover 600–700 cartons
  • 50 rolls cover around 1,200–1,400 cartons
  • 100 rolls cover up to 2,700 cartons

Actual usage may vary slightly depending on box size and sealing method.

How do I know which size and quantity to start with?

If you mainly ship mailer boxes:

  • Start with 45mm or 60mm
  • 25 rolls usually cover ~2,000 shipments

If you ship standard cartons:

  • Choose 60mm or 72mm
  • 25 rolls typically cover ~600–700 cartons
